NewFriendsRescue is a all volunteer advocate rescue services in NYC that is willing to help all over tri state areas. We work in unwanted/abandon/neglected/cruelty/stray pets from all certain situation's. We are not 501c3, your donation is not tax deductable, Your donation will be considered as a generous donation towards NewFriendsRescue. 


NewFriendsRescue has been an advocate towards unwanted pets in NYC & NJ, with serveral owners needing to surrender their beloved pet due to reasons as medical issues/owner moving/landlord policy... ETC. We will best and safely place your pet after the surrender process has been completed. 


NewFriendsRescue take animal neglect/cruelty reports through our website & by calling in, we will automatically have someone dispatched out there, if situation is not solved then Other parties will be invited to figure out a plan to get this animal to safety. Please try having Photo/video evidence of the neglect/cruelty going on at the location that you are reporting so action can be taken when the dispatched units respond to address provided in the report.

NYPD officer reports 2 neglected Bearded dragons thrown out in bronx nycha development.

A Nypd officer called in late at night on december 13th at 12am stating there was 2 neglected bearded dragons that was thrown out in plastic containers in the hallway after a break up. They requested if someone can be sent out and help out. 

at 12:30am someone was sent out from NewFriendsRescue and the 2 bearded dragons was later secured and rescued from the horrible situation they was left in due to immature humans. 

the 2 bearded dragons was posted as found pet and has not been claimed by a rightful owner. 

 Dog found loose, then sniffed his way home...

NewFriendsRescue recevied a call from a caller in the bronx regarding a dog that was found running loose in 216th st in the bronx. 40 mins later someone from NewFriendsRescue was sent out to assist the report especially due to the finder stating she would let the dog go. 

After someone from NewFriendsRescue responded to the address to pick up the dog from the caller the volunteer had walked the dog around the neighborhood and he sniffed his way home and the owners provided proof of ownership and happily the dog just kept barking of happiness 

Neglected pitbull adopted by NYPD officer 

NewFriendsRescue gotten a call from a caller located in the bronx, she stated she will be letting go a pitbull in the bronx if no one had picked him up (the call came in late at night). 

someone was sent out from  NewFriendsRescue then taken to a nearby police station where a NYPD officer had shown interest in saving the neglected pitbull from going into the high kill shelter. 

on arrival to the provided location the dog had shown signs of abuse and neglect. the lady that handed over the dog was screaming at the dog and the little fella kept flinching. he was malnourished, had skin issues, nd kept flinching on the walk to police station 

The dog was taken home for the holidays and a better future by the NYPD officer. Thank you NYPD for showing an amazing time to this fella 

Wellness Check & dog removal from apartment...

NewFriendsRescue received a call from a local shelter development in the bronx. They had a situation with a owner had put down NewFriendsRescue as an emergency contact to get her dog after being admitted into the hospital. on arrival to the location NewFriendsRescue had gotten multiple reports from staff members & tenants regarding their conerns on how the dog was not taken care of. 

There was reports such as the dog was not walked, always barking, usually smells like pee and poop. owner always screaming and throwing things. 

the dog was barking and hiding, pee and poop throughout the floor and no dog food in bowl only nasty human food that did not look touched nd super dry as well old. 

sadly 1 week later the dog had stopped breathing, 

Dog removal from hoarding house 

NewFriendsRescue received a report from the bronx where a dog was left unattended in a house. 

on arrival of rescuers the dog was kept in a hoarding house where needles was on the floor and garbage filled to the top of the house, dog was kept in the bathroom filled with urine and feces no food bowl. the dog was showing signs of aggression so dog had to be secured in cage that was in apt 

Abandoned cat scared frozen on streets of the bx

NewFriendsRescue got a call from the bronx on May 23rd regarding a gray female cat that was found scared in the street and had to be placed on to the side walk for her safety where the cat then hid by a deli. 

someone was sent out from NewFriendsRescue, the cat was super scared but did not attack the rescuer that was picking her up. she was such a sweet heart but super scared since she was just abandoned a few minutes ago

Was going to be euthanized so owner can travel

NewFriendsRescue received a call from a caller in the bronx pleading for help for a dog she knows about, the owner wanted to euthanized the husky due to the owner traveling and didnt want to pay fees to have the dog travel along neither couldnt find someone to hold the dog. 

NewFriendsRescue stepped up for the dog safety and had the husky transported to us in washington heights then proceed for rescue placement
